Standing Instruction on Debit Cards under BillPay service

With Standing Instruction ( SI ) facility on Debit Cards, under BillPay, you can take care of your bill payments automatically without having to write cheques and wait in queues.

Benefits:

  • SI on Debit Card registered for Utility Bills, Telecom Bills & Rental Payments shall be eligible for 5% CashBack* for the First 12 months & First time registrations only. Max Cashback* for this offer is Rs 100 per month per customer for the first 12 months. The CashBack offer is not valid on JetPrivilege HDFC Bank World, Rupay, NRO& Maestro Debit Card. CashBack gets posted as points within 75 days of the end of the month. Customer needs to login to NetBanking > Debit Cards to redeem the Cashback points. Valid Till 31st March'19.

How do I register / set for Standing Instruction on Debit Cards?

NetBanking : New Customers - To set an New Bill for BillPay & SI

  • STEP 1 : Login to NetBanking
  • STEP 2 : Go to "BillPay & Recharge Tab" & continue
  • STEP 3 : Click on "Add & Pay Bills" to register new biller
  • STEP 4 : Choose your biller category
  • STEP 5 : Fill in biller details , Select Debit Card option and Debit Card number from dropdown
  • STEP 6 : Check the biller details & click on "Confirm"

NetBanking : For existing BillPay registered customers

  • STEP 1 : Login to NetBanking
  • STEP 2 : Go to "BillPay & Recharge Tab" & continue
  • STEP 3 : Click on "Set/Modify/Delete" to modify
  • STEP 4 : Choose the bill & select "Set" Option under Action for the biller
  • STEP 5 : Select Debit Card option and Debit Card number from dropdown
  • STEP 6 : Check the biller details & click on "Confirm"

NetBanking : For Rental payments

  • STEP 1 : Register with Redgirraffe on RentPay platform and generate an ID - https://redgirraffe.com
  • STEP 2 : Login to NetBanking, Go to "BillPay & Recharge Tab" & continue
  • STEP 3 : Click on "Add & Pay Bills" to register new biller
  • STEP 4 : Choose your biller category as Rental payments
  • STEP 5 : Fill in biller details with the Redgirraffe ID, Select Debit Card option and Debit Card number from dropdown
  • STEP 6 : Check the biller details & click on "Confirm"

NetBanking : For Mobile Prepaid / DTH registration :

  • STEP 1 : Login to NetBanking & Click on "BillPay & Recharge" Tab
  • STEP 2 : Select Prepaid Recharge- Add Prepaid Recharge /DTH registration
  • STEP 3 : Select Standing Instructions - Prepaid Recharge
  • STEP 4 : Enter Recharge Frequency & Amount. Select Debit Card option and Debit Card number from dropdown

What bills can I pay using Standing Instruction facility on Debit Cards?
Bills such as Utility (Electricity, Gas, etc.), Telecom (Postpaid/Prepaid mobile and Landline) bills Rental payments and Insurance premium payments can be made.

When will bills setup for Standing Instruction on Debit Card be scheduled for payment?
Upon receiving a bill, HDFC Bank will immediately schedule the bill for payment. The bill will be paidSeven working days before the bill due date. All bills scheduled for payment can be viewed and stopped by going to the on the 'Manage Scheduled Bills' page.

How many days prior to the due date are bills processed through Standing Instruction on Debit Card?
Bills setup for Standing Instruction on Debit Card will be processed 7 days prior to the due date through Standing Instruction on Debit Card.

Will I receive any alerts for Standing Instruction on Debit Cardments?
Yes, you will receive SMS and Email alerts for Standing Instruction on Debit Card when the bill is scheduled for Standing Instruction on Debit Card and after it is processed for payment.

How can I modify the Standing Instruction on Debit Card details set for a biller
You can modify the details of a biller setup for Standing Instruction on Debit Card biller by clicking going to the "Modify/Delete Standing Instruction on Debit Card" page and clicking on the 'Modify' button against the biller you wish to edit the details for.

How do I enable Standing Instruction on Debit Card for a biller?
Standing Instruction on Debit Card can be enabled using the 'Set/Modify Standing Instruction on Debit Card' option and click on 'Set' against the registered biller. You can also enable Standing Instruction on Debit Card for a biller at the end of the Biller Registration Process.

Standing Instruction on Debit Card will be effective from the next bill uploaded by the biller. For bills which have already been presented, please go to the View/Pay Bill page to make a payment. SI on Debit Cards cannot be enabled on NRO & Maestro Debit Card.
